Designed for professionals across in-house, agency, and consulting roles, this roundtable fosters idea-sharing, addresses compliance hurdles, and provides practical insights for crafting impactful digital and social programs.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Experience with advancing web and digital strategies in the pharma, healthcare, and biotech industries.
  • The ability to volunteer 3-5 hours/month to co-create quarterly Digital and Social Media Roundtable events and monthly resources for the broader T2B community.
  • Willingness to participate in regular roundtable team meetings and contribute ideas and feedback.
  • An active T2B Pro membership.

About the chair

Alex Nicholson, Senior Director, Digital Strategy, AstraZeneca and Alexion

Alex is a leading digital and social media marketer and communicator, with experience building transformative programs and functions at organizations like National Geographic, USA Today, Cone Communications (Porter Novelli), Pegasystems, Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, and now at AstraZeneca. The online communities she’s built and managed today reach more than 20 million people. Her work spans industries including news, media, consumer packaged goods, non-profit, software, and pharmaceuticals.

A pioneer in newsroom social media, Alex launched USA Today’s first-ever social presence—training more than 100 journalists, building branded channels for every section, and creating campaigns that went viral. She has delivered high-impact programs for brands like Yoplait, Nestlé, Snuggle, Larabar, the USO, and Josh Cellars, and has been featured globally for her work in digital storytelling and influencer engagement.
