Samara brings more than six years of experience in life sciences and biopharma communications. Having worked across both large agencies and a fast-paced startup environment, she offers a valuable perspective on the expectations, relationships, and dynamics that shape the life sciences communications industry.

Her experience navigating these different environments gives her insight into not only how the industry works, but what it takes to grow and thrive within it.

Rushmie is a corporate affairs executive and trusted advisor with more than 25 years of experience helping leaders and organizations find their authentic voice, communicate with clarity and build meaningful, trust-based relationships.

She has held senior communications and corporate affairs roles across the biopharmaceutical industry, including at Cellarity, Scholar Rock, AMAG Pharmaceuticals, and Takeda. Her experience spans corporate reputation, investor relations, executive counsel, thought leadership, culture & brand building, media relations, patient advocacy, change management and employee engagement. She has worked within organizations ranging from emerging biotechnology companies to large, global enterprises, navigating periods of growth, transformation, commercialization and change.

Rushmie is also an ICF-certified executive coach and positive psychology practitioner. She draws on her corporate leadership experience, coaching expertise and evidence-based practices to help leaders strengthen their voice, navigate complexity and lead with greater clarity, authenticity and impact.

She holds an MA in Business and Economics Journalism from Boston University and a BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.
