Q1 Media Minds Panel: Inside Washington

​Lauren Gardner is an FDA reporter for POLITICO. She previously covered transportation and Canada-U.S. relations for POLITICO, where her reporting took her from the Gulf Coast to the boreal forest of Quebec.

​Before that, Lauren spent five years writing about energy and environmental policy at CQ Roll Call. She started her career in Washington as an IRS reporter for BNA.

​A Philadelphia native, she graduated from American University with degrees in journalism and international studies. Outside of the Capitol, you can find her running the trails of Northern Virginia and D.C. and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. She lives with her husband and their beagle Barkley in Alexandria.

​Tina Reed is senior health care reporter at Axios where she covers the intersection of business, tech and policy shaping in the industry. She was formerly the executive editor of Fierce Healthcare and covered health at the Washington Business Journal, the Capital Gazette and The Ann Arbor News.
