Owner/Thought Leadership Consultant Owner
Opinioned
Jake Meth started Opinioned because he wanted to see more original ideas in the media after spending five years building and editing Fortune magazine’s commentary section. Drawing on his editorial leadership experience, Jake founded Opinioned and now guides various industry leaders — and communicators like us at T2B — in shaping thought leadership programs with narratives that resonate on a global stage. Jake started in journalism after graduating from college, when he moved to Egypt for two years to cover the Arab Spring uprising for a local newspaper. Following that, he relocated to New York and worked in media relations for Foreign Affairs magazine and the Council on Foreign Relations. Jake received the 2020 New York Press Club award for excellence in journalism in the magazine consumer reporting category for his Fortune investigation into the epidemic of laundry pod poisonings among young children. He lives in Jersey City, NJ., and enjoys doing improv, eating good food and being a plant dad.
