Anca Ammon, Ph.D., is a communications strategist, investor relations advisor, and executive coach with nearly 20 years of experience at the intersection of science, business, and leadership. A neuroscientist by training, she is passionate about translating complex science into clear, compelling messages that build trust, foster understanding, and inspire action.
Anca has held senior communications and investor relations roles at MorphoSys AG, later acquired by Novartis AG, and Affimed N.V., both Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical companies during her tenure. She has worked across agency, industry, and academia, including roles at MacDougall Biomedical Communications, Inc./MacDougall Communications GmbH, Helmholtz Zentrum München GmbH, and Ingenium Pharmaceuticals GmbH, a subsidiary of Probiodrug AG, now Vivoryon Therapeutics N.V., listed on Euronext.
At MorphoSys AG, Anca supported communications preparations related to the company’s first product launch. At Affimed N.V., she established the communications function and, working with colleagues and external partners, evolved the company’s branding and messaging while supporting its growth from approximately 40 to more than 80 employees. At MacDougall, she co-built and grew the firm’s European practice, which is now Trophic Communications GmbH. Earlier in her career, Anca worked as a scientist at Ingenium Pharmaceuticals GmbH while completing her Ph.D. in neuroscience. Her research contributed to publications in Nature and The Journal of Neuroscience.
Since 2021, Anca has led her independent consultancy, Ammon Communications, advising biotech executives and communications and investor relations teams across Europe and the U.S.
