Keep Showing Up
I was not among the 8,000 people who entered the Westin this year, but did I go to JPM?
I sure did.
We went to industry and scientific briefings, a reporter panel, and a documentary screening.
I filmed my first YouTube-style video, and even did some yoga.
There were more breakfasts, lunches, and dinners than I could count.
I got to wear color for the first Wear Pink at JPM, interrupting the typical sea of black.
Oh, and catchups and meetups galore.
Wherever you could find a spot, you grabbed it.
Sometimes we had to be creative.
Don’t knock the department store couches before you try them. I call dibs next year.
Despite the impossibly overbooked schedules, the gatherings overtaking Union Square, the lack of bathroom breaks, the 18-hour days, there was always room for one more meeting, one more event.
Including our own at Ticket to Biotech!
I was humbled with gratitude to welcome to our reception over 100 communicators – friends new and old – from our community who are on a shared mission.
Whether biopharma in 2025 will be boom or bust, I can’t say.
But I can tell you that we comms folks will keep showing up for each other.
Again and again.
If the palpable energy among the T2B community was any indication of the impact we can make for our industry, for patients, everyone better watch out.
See you next year!
