Other comms practitioners in our industry were facing the same challenges that I was.

Our story

Just like you, I’m a biopharma communicator. I have been my whole working life.

I’ve had many roles across the life sciences – both at very big and very small organizations – as well as state government and marketing and comms agencies.

But, as I progressed in my career, I craved more interaction with people doing the same job as me in other companies. So, I invested in myself by building my network and joining a couple of the preeminent national professional groups.

However, despite those valuable experiences, I still felt something was missing.

I wasn’t quite getting the practical insights and professional (and personal) development I was looking for.

I was also hearing from fellow highly skilled communicators who were grappling with the lack of understanding and recognition of the importance of their roles within their organizations.

It was becoming clear that other comms practitioners in our industry were facing the same challenges that I was:

  • Operating in a highly regulated environment
  • Not having a uniform way to share knowledge and boost our skills
  • Minimal opportunities to engage with those in similar roles
  • Being able to demonstrate how critical our expertise is
  • Not having a standard career path; there are multiple entry points – and that’s OK!
  • Wearing many hats, from more traditional PR, to employee engagement, patient advocacy, public affairs, investor relations, and more

And so T2B – the only official hub for communicators in our industry – was born.

I hope that joining our community will be as enriching for you as creating it has been for me. Thank you for coming aboard and being a part of this journey!
